Mario was born in South Africa, emigrating to Australia when he was 19. His family heritage is Argentinean and Italian; he speaks Spanish fluently. He now lives in Brisbane, Australia and is proud to be an Australian Citizen.

In 2007, Mario graduated from the Southbank Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Multimedia Authoring. During the course he was awarded a distinction for an advertisement within Film and Animation.

Mario furthered his education in 2008 by enrolling in Shillington College’s Certificate IV in Graphic Design. It was during this time that he began to understand how to use design principles effectively. He also discovered a passion for typography.

While studying at Southbank Institute of Technology, Mario was offered a position at Studio 55, a Brisbane-based design studio, as a junior Multimedia Designer. He was involved in projects for Griffith University, Queensland Main Roads and the Electoral Commission of Queensland.

After completing his studies, Mario worked for Queensland Rail, in their Timetable and Publishing Office. He was involved in design and layout of timetables; this encompassed everything from A0 posters to A5 booklets.

In January 2009, Mario was employed as a Graphic Designer and Web Developer by Admission. He produced a variety of designs such as websites, logos, branding, stationery, packaging labels and promotional material.

With this experience, Mario is now seeking to expand his horizons and find new opportunities. Outside of work hours, Mario is an active member of the design community, and is involved with The Brisbane Art Directors Club (BAD Club).

He is also a Councillor Support Assistant for the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA). Mario does freelance work and attends The InDesign User Group to develop his skills as a Graphic and Multimedia Designer.
